Sharing the Planet-Natural Habitats
The 3rd Graders happily celebrated their learnings from their fourth Unit of Inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme, ‘Sharing the Planet’.
The unit focuses on humans making choices that have significance on other living things upon interacting with natural habitats. Batam then and now are different. Batam has lots of environmental changes as people cut trees to make new spaces for housing.
Unfortunately, human activities can severely exploit nature, kill animals, sell them as food and medicine; people can destroy nature and change them into housing, shop, other industries and even entertainment. Thus, creatures that used to inhabit their natural homes are no longer staying in their natural habitats instead they opt to live somewhere else.

The SGIA community members are all involved to raise awareness and help make a pledge to save, preserve and conserve natural habitats through wonderful performances:
Act 1 - Human Pursuit on Natural Habitats
Act 2 - Different Natural Habitats
Act 3 - Access to Equal Opportunities
Act 4 - Living Things’ Responses to Environmental Changes
Act 5 - Balance between Rights and Responsibilities when interacting with Natural Habitats
Act 6 - Humans make choices that have significance on other living things upon interacting with natural habitats.
