SGIA Community Takes Part in Fire Drill
Administrators, students, faculty and staff held a fire drill last Wednesday, October 12, 2016 to keep themselves updated and aware of what to do in case there is a fire incident.
A bell was sounded at exactly 8:30am . With presence of mind and supervision from teachers, a throng of students and staff streamed out their rooms to proceed to the soccer field. Part of the drill was to look for students who were trapped inside the school buildings. Homeroom teachers were also instructed to be alert by checking the attendance of their respective classes.
Reminders were given by school heads to take this activity seriously as it will help everyone to be ready of such incidents inside or outside the campus. Unannounced fire drills will follow to check the readiness of the whole community.
In doing this activity, school heads can assess the preparedness, capacity and response of the school in the event of disasters and other emergencies.
