Sekolah Global Indo-Asia Hosts SPK Indonesia Roadshow 2026

for the Second Time

For the second time, Sekolah Global Indo-Asia proudly hosted the SPK Indonesia Roadshow, welcoming educators, school leaders, government representatives, and members of the SPK community from across the country for a day of professional dialogue, collaboration, and cultural celebration. Held on Saturday, 9 May 2026, the event carried the timely and relevant theme, “Navigating Compliance and Academic Standards in the Ever-Changing World."

The roadshow served as a meaningful platform for participants to explore current educational policies, operational compliance, academic standards, leadership practices, and innovative teaching approaches within the evolving landscape of international and SPK education.

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education, provincial and city education offices, SPK Indonesia leaders, school administrators, and educators. Guests were warmly welcomed through an opening ceremony led by SGIA, highlighting the school’s continued commitment to educational excellence and collaboration within the SPK community.

One of the highlights of the opening program was the inspiring performance by the SGIA Children’s Choir under the direction of Mr. Daniel Dasalak and team. The choir captivated the audience with their musical presentation, showcasing the artistry and discipline that have earned the group recognition in both local and international stages.

Adding vibrant cultural energy to the event, SGIA Grade 5 students also presented a Medley Nusantara folk dance performance featuring Indonesian traditional dances from various regions. The performance celebrated Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage and reflected SGIA’s commitment to nurturing global-minded learners who remain deeply connected to their national identity and traditions.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in a series of panel discussions, presentations, and breakout sessions focusing on educational leadership, academic quality, compliance, inquiry-based learning, AI integration, and holistic student development.

SGIA leaders and educators played an active role in facilitating several impactful breakout sessions and professional development discussions. Among the featured sessions were:

  • "Aksi Siswa sebagai Jembatan Menuju Pembelajaran yang Bermakna” led by Dra. Peggy Ratulangi, M.Sc.

  • "From Inquiry to Action Using Thinking Routines” led by Dewi, S.Pd"

  • "Pembelajaran Berbasis Penelitian di Era AI untuk Mendorong Literasi Digital dan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis” led by Alinda Dariseh, S.Pd., M.TESOL.

  • "Pembelajaran Holistik melalui Kegiatan Paduan Suara” led by Daniel Dasalak, S.T., M.Pd.

  • "Empowered Teachers, Empowered Students” led by Dr. Martomo Wahyudianto, S.M.G., M.A.C.E.

  • "IBDP CAS Program: Membangun Karakter melalui Experiential Learning” led by Mutiara Sasini Bunga Moerdani, S.Sn., M.Ed.

  • "Desain Pembelajaran Pancasila yang Relevan dan Bermakna dengan AI” led by Marina Tri Hastuti, M. Ed.

  • "Penerapan Metode Interaktif dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia” led by; Gun Gun Gumilar, S. Pd., Gr, Maria Sinaga S. Pd., Gr,  and Novi Junaidi Igayana S. Pd., Gr.

These sessions reflected SGIA’s educational philosophy of empowering learners and educators through inquiry, innovation, creativity, leadership, and meaningful action. Participants also had the opportunity to join school tours and networking sessions, allowing them to observe SGIA’s learning environment and collaborative culture firsthand.

As host institution, SGIA expressed its gratitude to all speakers, participants, sponsors, and organizing partners who contributed to the success of the event. Hosting the SPK Indonesia Roadshow once again reinforces SGIA’s role as a leading educational institution committed to fostering professional growth, academic excellence, and strong partnerships within Indonesia’s international education community.

Through meaningful conversations, collaborative learning experiences, and inspiring student performances, the SPK Indonesia Roadshow 2026 became not only a professional gathering, but also a celebration of education, culture, and shared commitment toward preparing learners for an ever-changing world.
