Share the Earth, Shape a Bright Future

PYP Exhibition - Sharing the Planet

The PYP Exhibition under the transdisciplinary theme Sharing the Planet was a meaningful celebration of Grade 5 students’ learning, action, and awareness. Guided by the slogan “Share the Earth, Shape a Bright Future,” the event highlighted students’ understanding of global and local issues, as well as their commitment to making a difference.

The program, held on 23 April 2026, began with an engaging student performance featuring dance and song. This opening beautifully showcased diversity and reminded the audience that Earth is a wonderful place to live in—one that we all share and must care for together. The exhibition was attended by parents, guests, and representatives from several invited schools, creating a vibrant and supportive learning community.

Through their presentations, students demonstrated deep inquiry into issues they observe in their daily lives—issues that affect not only individuals but communities and the planet as a whole. There were 13 groups, each focusing on a specific concern: e-waste, fast fashion, corruption, plastic overconsumption, food waste, lack of green space, modern anxiety, human greed, water scarcity, poverty, the trash and waste crisis in Batam, noise pollution, and fast food.

The students did more than present their research findings. They thoughtfully analysed causes and impacts, and most importantly, they proposed simple, practical solutions. Their actions encouraged everyone—students, teachers, parents, and visitors—to take small but meaningful steps in their daily lives.

On 24 April 2026, the learning continued as Grade 5 students presented their exhibitions to other grade levels within the school. This provided an opportunity to further spread awareness, inspire other students, and strengthen a shared sense of responsibility for the planet.

This exhibition was not only a showcase of knowledge but also a reflection of student agency. It demonstrated that even young learners can raise awareness, inspire change, and contribute to shaping a brighter, more sustainable future for our planet.
