Numeracy week 2018
On October 8-12, 2018 Sekolah Global Indo Asia primary school department organized its annual numeracy week. The theme for this year is “Math for All”. Throughout the week, students completed numeracy activities within lessons. There were different kinds of lessons/activities delivered during a week in respective classes. Every day a strand was given to be done. The strands were; Pattern and Function, Data Handling/Measurement, Numbers, Shape and Space. It was really engaging as students participated well and every class able displayed activities that they had done during the day outside their classrooms.

Friday was the culmination day where the school conducted some activities. It was started with the opening performance by ECC students (dancing) and followed by presentations from grades 3 to 4 about their activities in the class during the week. Teachers also organized some fun games as part of the culminating activity. The games were categorized into 3 groups namely ECC, Lower Primary and Upper Primary. The upper primary played Bingo game and for lower primary played hopscotch using addition while for ECC exercised with numbers. The event was very engaging as all students and teachers participated during the week.
